Couple arrested on stolen property charges in Moriah

MORIAH, NY — New York State Police arrested two people on March 12, 2026, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree.

Sharon M. Granger, 48, of Port Henry, and Michael A. Granger, 49, of Port Henry, were taken into custody following an investigation.

Troopers responded to Main Street on Jan. 21, 2026, at approximately 7:03 p.m. for a report of a larceny complaint.

An investigation determined that Sharon and Michael Granger were in possession of stolen property related to the incident.

Both were processed at SP Schroon Lake.

They were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Moriah Court for a later date in April.
