Man arrested on robbery charge in Carlisle

CARLISLE, PA — Police arrested a Pennsylvania man Saturday after he allegedly threatened convenience store employees while demanding cash.

Jason David Scott, 45, of Carlisle, was charged with robbery, terroristic threats, simple assault and theft following an incident at Sheetz on Harrisburg Pike.

Middlesex Township Police were dispatched to the store after a man allegedly threatened staff with a bomb and gun while demanding money.

The Cumberland County Sheriff Department’s explosive detection K9 assisted in clearing the building.

No explosives were found.

Police located Scott at a nearby motel.

Scott was also identified as a suspect in a theft from Motel 6 and damage to a vending machine at the Appalachian Hotel, according to police.

Scott was taken to Cumberland County Prison where he was arraigned.
