Woman arrested on drug trafficking charge in Weymouth

WEYMOUTH, MA — A 65-year-old woman faces drug trafficking charges following a narcotics raid at an apartment complex Thursday.

Debbie Lee Francis Mulligan, of Weymouth, was arrested after detectives executed a search warrant at the Avana Apartments on Mediterranean Drive at approximately 12 p.m.

The Weymouth Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, Investigative Services Division and DEA Task Force 2 conducted the operation following an extensive investigation.

Detectives seized approximately 90 grams of crack/cocaine, approximately 2.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 21 Diazepam pills and $2,481 in U.S. currency from the apartment.

Mulligan was charged with trafficking in cocaine (36–100 grams), distribution of a Class B substance (crystal methamphetamine), subsequent offense, and possession of a Class C substance (Diazepam), subsequent offense.

She is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Quincy District Court.
