ST. ALBANS, VT — A 19-year-old man turned himself in to Vermont State Police on March 13 after an investigation into a sexual relationship with a juvenile.
Matthew Stryker of Richford was released with a citation ordering him to appear at Franklin County Superior Court Criminal Division on March 16 at 1 p.m.
Vermont State Police, in conjunction with the Norwest Unit for Special Investigations and the Department for Children and Families, initiated an investigation into Stryker on March 4.
Investigators received a report that Stryker had a sexual relationship with a juvenile.
Detectives learned that beginning in the summer of 2025, Stryker had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old juvenile, according to police.
The incidents occurred in Chittenden and Franklin counties.
Stryker was charged with sexual assault under Title 13 VSA 3252.
After consulting with the Franklin County State’s Attorney’s office, Stryker was released with a flash citation.
