BRANFORD, CT — A 57-year-old man was arrested on a charge of possession of child sexual abuse material following an investigation by the Guilford Police Department.
Norbert Stanislaw Zielinski, of Branford, was arrested March 12 at his residence pursuant to an arrest warrant.
The investigation began Oct. 26, 2024, when detectives from the Guilford Police Department Detective Division, working as part of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, discovered child sexual abuse material was being shared online from a residence in Branford.
Guilford detectives, with assistance from the Branford Police Department, executed a search warrant at the residence and seized numerous items of evidentiary value.
Following forensic examination of the evidence, investigators confirmed Zielinski was in possession of a substantial amount of child sexual abuse material, according to police.
Zielinski was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material in the first degree.
His bond was set at $150,000.
He is scheduled to be arraigned March 24 at New Haven Superior Court.
