CORTLANDVILLE, NY — Troopers were dispatched by the Cortland County 911 Center to a report of a man lying in blood and actively bleeding in the parking lot of the Speedway gas station on State Route 11 on March 10, 2026, at approximately 6:57 p.m.
Troopers located Gary A. Kouril, 56, of Cincinnatus, who was injured and alert but not verbally responding to troopers.
Troopers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage.
Troopers believe that Kouril may have fallen off an electric bike and injured himself, but the investigation is ongoing to determine exactly how he was injured.
Kouril was transported by TLC Ambulance to Guthrie Cortland Medical for treatment.
