Man arrested on abuse order violation in Sunderland

SUNDERLAND, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a man accused of violating an abuse prevention order on March 12.

Scott Brian Messenger, 52, of Sunderland, was taken into custody after police were notified of the alleged violation at approximately 10 a.m.

An investigation determined that Messenger contacted a person protected by an abuse prevention order, according to police.

Messenger was transported to the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks for processing.

He was released with conditions.
