Police seek suspect in assault on pregnant woman in Roxbury

BOSTON, MA — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an assault on a pregnant woman at a laundromat Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:03 a.m. on March 1, 2026, at 104 Warren Street in Roxbury.

According to investigators, a dispute began inside the laundromat when the victim had difficulty using a payment card on the machines.

As the argument escalated, an unknown male who had inserted himself into the dispute struck the victim, who was five months pregnant, kicking her in the stomach.

The suspect then fled the laundromat in the direction of Moreland Street.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a blue New York Yankees hat, a beige hoodie and blue pants.

Police are also seeking to identify a female individual who was present during the incident and may be associated with the suspect.
