Man arrested on assault charges in West Haven

WEST HAVEN, VT — A 41-year-old man is facing multiple charges after an incident on Main Road on March 11, 2026.

Vermont State Police troopers from the Rutland Barracks were notified of an active family fight at approximately 4:14 p.m.

Through investigation, police determined that Thomas Pass, of West Haven, while armed with a deadly weapon, assaulted two family or household members.

Pass was placed into custody and transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.

While in custody, Pass assaulted two troopers with bodily fluids, according to police.

Pass was charged with two counts of aggravated domestic assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of assault of a protected professional.

He was issued court-imposed conditions of release and later lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility to be held without bail.

Pass is scheduled to appear in court on March 12, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.

Vermont State Police were assisted by the Fair Haven Police Department, the Castleton Police Department, Fair Haven Rescue Squad and the Regional Ambulance Service.
