Two arrested on burglary charges in Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two men were arrested in connection with a burglary on Day Street.

The Bloomfield Police Department responded to a report of a burglary on March 2.

A neighbor notified police that he observed two suspicious individuals enter and then leave his neighbor’s yard.

Responding officers observed the rear door of the residence unsecured.

The resident arrived on scene, and units checked the residence.

After assessing the scene, it was determined that the residence had been entered and rummaged through.

The Bloomfield Police Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected evidence.

Bloomfield detectives observed the suspects on surveillance footage and connected a vehicle to them.

The detective’s investigation led to collaboration with Edison and West Orange detectives for similar crimes.

Bloomfield detectives learned of the vehicle’s location and immediately broadcast it to surrounding towns.

The vehicle was stopped by Glen Ridge Police on March 3.

Bloomfield detectives responded to identify the suspects and make the arrests.

The arrestees were wanted out of multiple states, including California, Texas, and Colorado, for various crimes.

Laurentiu Iancu, 35, of Aurora, Colorado, was arrested.

Florin Vaduva, 33, of Kent, Washington, was arrested.
