WARWICK, NY — Two people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred in the Village of Warwick.
The Town of Warwick Police Department received a report of a robbery at approximately 1:27 a.m. Monday on Maple Avenue.
The victim, a 26-year-old Warwick resident, reported that he had been assaulted and that both a handgun and a knife were displayed during the incident.
Town of Warwick Police Detectives identified several suspects believed to be associated with the City of Port Jervis.
Detectives from the Town of Warwick Police Department and the City of Port Jervis Police Department conducted a joint investigation and executed a search warrant at a residence on Barcelow Street in the City of Port Jervis.
Ryan Cassidy, 18, of Sparrowbush, New York, and Kiana Harrison, 19, of Cuddebackville, New York, were arrested and charged with robbery in the first degree, a class B felony, and robbery in the second degree, a class C felony.
They were also charged with three counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, class E felonies, and criminal facilitation in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Both defendants were arraigned in the City of Middletown Court.
Harrison was released on her own recognizance and Cassidy was remanded to the Orange County Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
