Man arrested on DWI charge in Salamanca

SALAMANCA, NY — A Charlotte, North Carolina man was arrested on driving while intoxicated charges following a traffic stop in the city March 5.

Travis Holman, 27, of Charlotte, was charged with speed in zone, consuming alcohol on a highway, DWI BAC greater than .08 and DWI per se.

Holman was processed and released with an appearance ticket for a later court date.

In other activity, Elijah Ground, 34, of Salamanca, was taken into custody March 4 on a bench warrant issued out of Salamanca City Court.

Ground was processed and held for arraignment.

Jasa Brooks, 31, of Salamanca, was taken into custody following a traffic stop in the city March 4.

Brooks was charged with speed in zone, no license plate and aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree.

Brooks was released from the scene with an appearance ticket for a later court date.

Owen Barber, 28, of Allegany, was taken into custody following a traffic stop in the city March 7.

Barber was issued uniform traffic tickets for speed in zone and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.

Barber was released from the scene with an appearance ticket for a later court date.

Thomas George, 42, of Salamanca, was taken into custody following a traffic stop in the city March 8.

George was charged with DWI previous conviction in the last 10 years, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, move from lane unsafely, failed to use designated lane and operate a motor vehicle without an interlock device.

George was processed and held for arraignment.
