Man charged with attempted murder in Goffstown

GOFFSTOWN, NH — A 54-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly holding two people at gunpoint and firing a shot during a domestic violence incident.

Ted Ross, of Goffstown, was arrested March 8 following an incident at 88 and 82 South Mast St. Road, according to the Goffstown Police Department.

Police said a verbal argument began between Ross and a male and female victim.

Ross allegedly pulled out a firearm and held the two victims at gunpoint for approximately 30 minutes, police said.

The male victim ran toward the front door of the residence to try to escape and call for help, according to police.

As the male victim reached the doorway, Ross fired a shot from his firearm, missing the victim, police said.

Ross discarded the firearm and fled the scene before being taken into custody by Goffstown police shortly after, according to the department.

Ross is charged with two counts of attempted murder, kidnapping, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, domestic violence criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, domestic violence false imprisonment and falsifying physical evidence.

Ross was arraigned at the 9th Circuit Goffstown District Court on March 9 and held on preventative detention.

He is scheduled for a probable cause hearing on March 17 at 10 a.m. at the 9th Circuit Goffstown District Court.
