Three arrested after drug raid in Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY — Three people were arrested after law enforcement executed a search warrant at a residence in Buffalo’s Lovejoy neighborhood on March 4.

Larry Hurley, 49, of Buffalo, Elias Freese, 48, of Buffalo, and Shaquelle Coleman, 32, of Buffalo, were taken into custody without incident.

Erie County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Intelligence Unit personnel executed the search warrant at approximately 7:40 a.m. at a residence on Gold Street.

The Buffalo Police Department Intelligence Unit, Lackawanna Police Department and FBI Safe Streets Task Force assisted with the investigation.

The search warrant was signed by Hon. Peter Savage of Buffalo City Court.

Deputies seized suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and an illegal large capacity ammunition feeding device from the residence.

A quantity of cocaine was seized from Hurley’s bedroom.

Hurley was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Freese was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Coleman was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.
