STROUDSBURG, PA — Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of using fraudulent credit cards to steal pool supplies from a local business.
Kiond Jones, 22, of Pennsylvania, is wanted on charges of access device fraud and theft by deception.
Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to Pocono Pools & Spa on Route 611 on June 17 at 12:53 p.m. for a report of theft.
An employee told police a customer called and purchased a pool cleaner machine over the phone.
Two men arrived at the store to pick up the item and the purchase was processed, but the transaction failed a week later for $1,377.95.
On July 1, the same two men returned to the store and attempted to purchase items with the same credit card, police said.
The men fled the store while employees attempted to identify them.
The two men then attempted the same theft at the company’s sister store in Barrett Township, where they were arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional Police and identified as Jones and Dilan Bryan.
A felony arrest warrant was issued for Jones on Nov. 25 by Magisterial District Judge Gasper.
A felony arrest warrant was also issued for Bryan.
