TANNERSVILLE, PA — A woman was arrested early Saturday morning following a domestic dispute at The Chateau Resort at Camelback.
Pocono Township Police were dispatched to a room at the resort at approximately 2:44 a.m. on March 7, 2026 for a report of a dispute between sisters.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported that her sister, Shamika C. Rease, 38, of Millville, New Jersey, took her phone and refused to return it.
When the victim approached Rease, a physical altercation ensued.
The victim told police that Rease forcibly choked her and restricted her breathing.
When officers attempted to take Rease into custody, she actively resisted, police said.
Rease was arrested and transported to Monroe County Correctional Facility to be processed and await arraignment.
She faces charges of strangulation, simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment.
