Man charged in hit-and-run crash in Palmyra

PALMYRA, PA — A 44-year-old man faces charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

James Edward Heffley II, of Pennsylvania, was charged with accidents involving damage to attended vehicle, a third-degree misdemeanor, duty to give information and render aid, a summary offense, and a traffic control signals violation, also a summary offense.

The Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department responded to the intersection of West Main Street and Lingle Avenue at 2:17 a.m. on Feb. 21 for a report of a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident.

Police determined through investigation that Heffley was operating the striking vehicle and left the scene without stopping or rendering aid.

A criminal complaint was filed with Judge Warner’s Office.

Heffley was arrested on Feb. 23.
