FRANKLIN, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a man on a first-degree aggravated domestic assault charge Tuesday night.
Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Stanley Road at 8:33 p.m. March 3.
An investigation revealed that Sean Murphy, 50, of Franklin, assaulted a household member, police said.
Murphy was taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.
He was then transported to Northwestern Correctional Facility, where he was held on bail.
Murphy was scheduled to appear in Franklin County Court at 1 p.m. March 4.
