DUNKIRK, NY — A multi-agency narcotics investigation led to the execution of a search warrant and the arrest of four people on drug charges.
Officers from the Dunkirk Police Department, along with narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department, executed the search warrant at 81 Lincoln Ave. upper apartment.
Dunkirk Police SRT made entry into the residence.
Dakota O. Cordell, Taylor M. Austin, Matthew S. Eggelston and Robert S. Ryen were located inside the residence at the time of the search.
Investigators seized 331.69 grams of methamphetamine, 5.35 grams of cocaine, 2.42 grams of crack cocaine, 14.55 grams of fentanyl, 79 dosage units of suboxone, scales and packaging material used for the sale and distribution of narcotics, a .44 magnum revolver and $4,908.
A records check revealed the revolver was stolen.
Cordell was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance second, third and seventh degrees, criminal possession of a weapon third degree, criminal possession of stolen property fourth degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia second degree.
Austin was charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance second and seventh degrees, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of stolen property fourth degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia second degree.
Eggelston was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree.
Ryen was charged with criminal nuisance first degree.
Ryen and Eggelston were issued appearance tickets and released.
Cordell and Austin were transported to the Dunkirk Police Department to be arraigned in City of Dunkirk Court.
The investigation is ongoing with additional charges expected.
