Man arrested on multiple charges in Danville

DANVILLE, VT — A transient man faces multiple charges after Vermont State Police responded to a report of erratic driving on March 2, 2026.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were notified at 9:25 a.m. of a motor vehicle being operated erratically on U.S. Route 2 West in Danville.

A complainant reported the vehicle had crashed into a snowbank before leaving the scene.

Troopers located the vehicle on Jamieson Road and identified the operator as Ryan Dedonno, 45, of St. Johnsbury.

Investigation revealed Dedonno had stolen the vehicle on Feb. 19, 2026, and was a suspect in a separate petit larceny case.

Troopers observed signs of impairment while speaking with Dedonno.

Dedonno was arrested and charged with aggravated operation without owner’s consent, two counts of possession of stolen property, petit larceny and DUI-drugs.

He was transported to the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

Dedonno was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Complex for lack of $500 bail.

He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on March 4, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. and May 4, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
