RUTLAND TOWN, VT — A 30-year-old man was arrested on domestic assault charges after allegedly causing serious bodily injury to a family member while children were present.
Austin Creaser, of Rutland Town, was taken into custody March 2 following an incident the previous evening.
Vermont State Police troopers from the Rutland Barracks were dispatched to a domestic call in Rutland Town at approximately 10:05 p.m. March 1.
Upon arrival, troopers determined that Creaser had caused serious bodily injury to a family member with children present in the residence, according to police.
Creaser had left the scene prior to troopers’ arrival.
He was located and arrested March 2 and transported to the Rutland State Police Barracks.
Creaser was charged with first-degree aggravated domestic assault and committing an offense in the presence of a child.
A judge ordered Creaser held without bail.
He was transported to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility and lodged.
