WATERBURY, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Guptil Road and Kneeland Flats Road on March 2, 2026, at approximately 7:16 p.m.
Troopers identified the operator as Thomas Grady, 26, of Brookfield.
Troopers observed signs of impairment at the scene.
Grady was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
He was transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.
Grady refused to submit to a chemical test.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
The 2011 Kia Soul sustained no damage.
Weather conditions were clear and roads were dry at the time of the incident.
Grady was released with a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on March 19, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
