NEW CASTLE, PA — A man faces motor vehicle theft and fleeing charges after police say he stole a pickup truck from a construction business.
Lucas Rubin, 33, of Pennsylvania, was arrested Feb. 27 following a pursuit and search.
New Castle Police Officers responded to Graziani Construction on Frew Mill Road for a report of a vehicle theft.
A white Ford F-150 was stolen from the business.
A Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy located the vehicle on Taylor Street and East Washington Street and identified the operator as Rubin.
The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed and the pursuit was called off.
Officers were later called to a home in the Croton area because the stolen truck was parked in a driveway by a male in a dark hoodie who left the area towards Croton Avenue.
A New Castle Police Officer located Rubin on Croton Avenue at Butz Street and took him into custody.
Rubin also had several bench warrants for his arrest.
He was arraigned March 2 before Magistrate Amodie.
