PORTLAND, ME — Police arrested a man early Sunday after a security guard was severely assaulted at a downtown location.
Officers responded to 1 City Center at 3:50 a.m. for a report of the assault.
The victim was transported to Maine Medical Center for treatment.
Security cameras captured the incident, allowing officers to obtain a photo and description of the suspect.
At 5:21 a.m., the suspect was located on Marginal Way and taken into custody without incident.
Daniel Noble, 31, who is unhoused, was charged with aggravated assault, robbery, aggravated criminal trespass, criminal threatening and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
Noble was transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
