Vehicle driven into pond at Lancaster Country Club

EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, PA — Police cited a New Jersey man after his vehicle was found in a pond at Lancaster Country Club.

Sung Chun, 50, of Hoboken, New Jersey, drove onto the property Wednesday at approximately 8:30 p.m. and across portions of the golf course before driving into a pond, according to East Lampeter Township Police.

Chun exited the vehicle and walked away without reporting the incident, police said.

He spent the night at a local hotel.

Police were dispatched to the country club Thursday around 10:38 a.m. for a report of a vehicle in a pond.

Chun returned to the location while police were investigating the incident.

He was cited with a Pennsylvania Vehicle Code violation under section 3717 for trespass by motor vehicle.
