Man arrested on burglary charge in Florence

FLORENCE, NY — A Vienna man was arrested Thursday following a burglary investigation that began in December.

Shane D. Farr, 36, of Vienna, was charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert M. Maciol.

Deputies from the Road Patrol Division responded to an apartment complex in Florence at approximately 12 p.m. on Dec. 12 regarding a burglary investigation.

Deputies discovered that construction materials were taken from a barn on the property during the late night hours.

The Road Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Unit conducted further investigation.

Farr was processed at the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building.

He is being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility awaiting centralized arraignment.
