PITTSFORD, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on US Route 7 near Kendall Hill Road on Feb. 26, 2026.
Troopers from the Rutland Barracks were notified of the crash at approximately 3:53 p.m.
Police said Dean Newton, 59, of Leicester, was driving a 2019 RAM 1500 southbound on US Route 7 behind a 2011 Toyota Camry operated by Alexa Moyer, 26, of Brandon.
Moyer stopped to turn left into a driveway when Newton attempted to pass her vehicle, according to police.
Newton’s vehicle collided with Moyer’s vehicle as she began turning left, police said.
Both vehicles were able to pull off the roadway.
The RAM sustained minor damage to the front right corner, while the Camry sustained significant damage to the front left tire.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
Both operators were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Weather and road conditions were clear at the time of the incident.
