Man charged with multiple sex crimes in Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, NY — A 40-year-old man faces multiple felony charges including rape and predatory sexual assault against a child, according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.

Steven O. Gardner was charged in Town of Johnstown Court with six counts of rape in the first degree, a class B felony; predatory sexual assault against a child, a class A-II felony; and course of sexual conduct against a child in the first degree, a class B felony.

The arrest was among 10 made by the sheriff’s office between Jan. 12 and Jan. 18.

Emma C. Rodriguez, 30, was charged in Town of Mayfield Court with bail jumping in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor, and was arrested on a warrant out of Town of Mayfield Court.

Todd M. Pearl, 43, was charged in Town of Mayfield Court with trespass, a violation.

Isaiah R. Darling, 32, was charged in Town of Mayfield Court with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Brondale E. Lewis, 39, was charged in Town of Mayfield Court with operating a motor vehicle while registration suspended, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Octavio A. Bernard, 23, was charged in Town of Johnstown Court with operating a motor vehicle while registration suspended, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Dean M. Spencer, 73, was charged in Town of Broadalbin Court with operating a motor vehicle while registration suspended, an unclassified misdemeanor.

Bryan R. Methany, 41, was arrested on a warrant out of Town of Perth Court.

Nicholas B. Bovee, 22, was charged in Town of Broadalbin Court with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, an unclassified misdemeanor.
