PORTLAND, PA — The Portland Police Bureau’s North Precinct Neighborhood Response Team, with assistance from the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit, conducted a drug investigation that resulted in one arrest and the seizure of cocaine and cash.
Investigators received information that an individual was selling cocaine from a motel room in the 11700 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard.
During the course of the investigation, officers observed a high volume of foot traffic to and from the room at various hours throughout the day and night, a pattern consistent with illegal narcotics distribution.
On Wednesday at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Police Bureau’s Special Emergency Reaction Team, in collaboration with North Precinct Neighborhood Response Team officers and Narcotics and Organized Crime detectives, executed a search warrant at the motel room.
During the search, officers seized 7 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of Xanax and $2,498 in cash.
