FAIRFAX, VT — Vermont State Police troopers responded to a disturbance on Hawley Road at approximately 3:18 a.m. on Feb. 26, 2026.
During the investigation, troopers encountered Leonard Hayden, 32, of St. Johnsbury, who had active warrants for his arrest.
Hayden was taken into custody on the warrants and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans.
He was held on $12,500 bail.
Hayden was additionally issued a flash citation ordering him to appear before Franklin County Criminal Court on Feb. 26, 2026, at 1 p.m.
The active warrants contained charges of felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor unlawful mischief $250 or less, misdemeanor domestic assault, misdemeanor violation of conditions of release, misdemeanor simple assault and eight counts of violation of probation.
