HARPERSFIELD, NY — A Cherry Valley man was arrested Thursday on drug-related charges after deputies responded to a complaint about a suspicious vehicle.
Stephen Maiorano, 52, of Cherry Valley, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, according to Delaware County Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.
Deputies responded to a residence on State Highway 23 at approximately 11 p.m. Thursday regarding a complaint of a suspicious vehicle.
Deputies arrived and observed a vehicle matching the description parked in the complainant’s driveway.
Deputies made contact with the driver, identified as Maiorano.
Following an investigation, Maiorano was also charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and one count of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, both misdemeanors.
Maiorano was issued appearance tickets returnable to Harpersfield Town Court at a later date and was released.
