BATH, NY — A 43-year-old man was arrested on a felony forgery charge Tuesday afternoon.
Thomas Weinman, of Bath, was taken into custody by the Village of Bath Police Department at approximately 4:20 p.m.
The arrest stems from an investigation into the issuance of fraudulent checks, according to police.
Weinman is charged with one count of possession of a forged instrument in the first degree, a class C felony.
He was processed and transported to the Steuben County Jail for centralized arraignment processing.
Weinman was subsequently released.
Police said Weinman is a six-time convicted felon in the state of New York.
