Man arrested on drug, license charges in Sangerfield

SANGERFIELD, NY — A deputy assigned to the Waterville Field Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 10:18 a.m. on Feb. 23, 2026, relative to a warrant investigation stemming from a previous traffic stop in the Town of Paris in November.

The operator, Tyler Redmond of Hamilton, was found to be operating with a suspended driver’s license with 42 suspensions imposed on 14 different dates, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.

Redmond was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

He was arrested and transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building where he was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a class E felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Redmond was lodged at the Oneida County Correctional Facility pending his arraignment.

He was later released.
