Woman arrested on assault, robbery charges in Poultney

POULTNEY, VT — Troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks responded to a reported theft on Tuesday at approximately 10 a.m.

Upon investigation, it was found that Amanda Martin, 27, of Rutland, assaulted another person and took money and clothes.

Martin also caused bodily injury to another person and resisted arrest, according to police.

Martin was transported to the Rutland Barracks, where custody was transferred to the Department of Corrections for violating probation conditions.

Martin faces charges of assault and robbery, simple assault, petit larceny and resisting arrest.
