Three arrested on gun, drug charges in Altoona

ALTOONA, PA — Three people were arrested Friday following a parole inspection that led to the discovery of firearms and drugs.

Pennsylvania State Parole agents conducting a home inspection of Damien Pierce, 52, who was on active supervision, made contact with two additional individuals identified as Natalie Pierce, 41, and Elijah Washington, 42.

Agents conducted a search of the residence and located two firearms, prompting them to contact the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and Altoona Police Department.

Officers secured the residence and obtained a search warrant after a criminal history check revealed that Damien Pierce and Elijah Washington were both felons prohibited from possessing firearms.

The search yielded a Smith and Wesson .357 revolver that had been reported lost, a Sig Sauer 10 mm model 1911, and a DPMS AR .223 rifle.

Officers also found a large amount of ammunition and multiple holsters.

Approximately 35 grams of marijuana valued at around $200 was discovered, along with multiple pieces of packaging material, a functioning digital scale and drug paraphernalia.

Natalie Pierce will be charged with multiple misdemeanor offenses, while Damien Pierce and Elijah Washington will be charged with multiple felony violations.

The investigation was conducted by the Altoona Police Department, Pennsylvania State Parole, Pennsylvania State Police, Tyrone Police Department and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.
