Two-vehicle crash reported in Rutland

RUTLAND, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 7 near Post Road at approximately 5:14 p.m. Feb. 22.

Robert Fish, 78, of Pittsford, was traveling south on U.S. Route 7 when he failed to maintain his lane and crossed the center line, according to police.

Fish’s 2018 GMC Sierra collided head-on with a 2021 Dodge Ram driven by Laura Coleman, 64, of Rutland, who was traveling northbound.

Both operators were wearing seat belts and sustained minor injuries.

Coleman was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Both vehicles sustained front-end damage.

The Rutland Town Fire Department, Regional Ambulance Service and Carrara’s Towing assisted at the scene.

Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the crash.
