MALTA, NY — A Gloversville man was arrested Saturday on charges related to stolen trading cards.
Stashu I. Roberts, 29, of Gloversville, was arrested on a warrant issued by Malta Town Court charging him with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a class D felony, and fostering the sale of stolen goods, a class A misdemeanor.
Roberts allegedly knowingly possessed approximately 105 assorted stolen Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards with intent to benefit himself and used a physical building in Malta to offer those cards for sale and ultimately to sell them for cash on Feb. 1.
He was arraigned before the Honorable Ellwood A. Sloat Jr. in Malta Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
