RICHMOND, VT — A Colchester woman faces domestic assault and assault charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
Troopers assigned to the Williston Barracks were dispatched at approximately 12:59 a.m. to a report of a family fight at a residence on East Hill Road.
An investigation revealed that Bridgit Jewell, 39, of Colchester, had committed domestic assault by causing bodily harm to a household member, according to Vermont State Police.
Jewell also committed assault on a protected professional with bodily fluids by spitting on responding members of Richmond Rescue and the Williston Fire Department, police said.
The victims were identified as paramedic Eric Matens, 31, of Williston, and AEMT Jillian Leikauskes, 34, of Richmond.
Jewell was arrested and later released on citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court-Criminal Division on April 7 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charges.
