CRAWFORD, NY — A fatal motor vehicle accident involving a passenger vehicle and an oil truck occurred on State Route 302 on February 20, 2026.
Officers responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision on State Route 302 at approximately 9:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the operator of a 2005 Toyota Camry was trapped inside the vehicle and had sustained fatal injuries.
The operator was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The operator and passenger of the oil truck were evaluated and treated at the scene by Pine Bush Ambulance.
The accident remains under active investigation by the Town of Crawford Police Department, with assistance from the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
