Man charged with firing gun into occupied building in Columbia

COLUMBIA, PA — A 68-year-old man faces charges after allegedly firing a gun into an occupied structure early Saturday morning.

James Walter Howard, of Columbia, was charged with discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure and recklessly endangering another person.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:38 a.m. Feb. 6 in the 200 block of South Fifth Street.

An officer with the Columbia Borough Police Department filed the charges based on the incident.
