TOWANDA, PA — The Bradford County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about a phone scam involving callers claiming to represent the agency and demanding payment for missed jury duty.

Officials said the sheriff’s office will not call residents regarding money owed for missing jury duty.

Residents who receive calls requesting payment for this reason should not provide payment or personal information, according to the warning issued by the sheriff’s office.
