LAKEWOOD, NJ — A month-long investigation by the Lakewood Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of an illegal firearm.
Members of the Special Response Team executed a court-authorized search warrant at the residence of Kharii Pringle, 42, of Lakewood.
During the execution of the search warrant, officers also arrested Jeffrey Keys, 41, of Toms River, who was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
Detectives located and seized a defaced firearm during the search.
Pringle was found to be in possession of a high-capacity magazine, hollow point ammunition, and a quantity of suspected Ecstasy.
Further investigation revealed that he is legally prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Pringle was charged in connection with the weapons and CDS offenses.
Both Pringle and Keys will be transported to the Ocean County Jail pending further court proceedings.
The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the investigation.
Chief Gregory H. Meyer stated the arrest was the direct result of focused investigative work and strong inter-agency cooperation.
