Man arrested twice on drug charges in Hudson

HUDSON, NY — Members of the New York State Police Troop K Violent Gang Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested a Bronx man twice during a narcotics investigation.

Luis M. Rodriguez, 24, of Bronx, was first arrested Jan. 27, 2026, on South Front Street in Hudson.

During the execution of a search warrant, investigators located approximately 95.2 grams of crack cocaine, 1.9 grams of fentanyl, and 4.8 grams of a mixture of fentanyl and crack cocaine.

Rodriguez was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, a class B felony, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd (intent to sell), class B felonies.

Rodriguez was arraigned in City of Hudson Court and released on his own recognizance.

Troop K VGNET was assisted by the Amtrak Police Department, City of Hudson Police Department, and State Police Livingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation and uniform members.

On Feb. 16, 2026, members of Troop K VGNET, with assistance from Livingston and Kinderhook uniform patrols and the City of Hudson Police Department, executed a second search warrant on Rodriguez following a lawful traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in the Town of Gallatin.

Rodriguez was found to be in possession of approximately 103.1 grams of crack cocaine.

Rodriguez was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, a class B felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd (intent to sell), a class B felony.

Rodriguez was arraigned in Town of Claverack Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
