PUTNEY, VT — A Bronx man was arrested on a drug-impaired driving charge Tuesday evening after state police found his disabled vehicle on Interstate 91.
Troopers from the Westminster Barracks came across the disabled vehicle at approximately 5:48 p.m. on Interstate 91 northbound at mile marker 22.8.
Upon arriving at the scene, troopers identified Amadou Nantoume, 25, of Bronx, New York, as the operator.
Further investigation determined Nantoume was under the influence, police said.
He was taken into custody and processed at the Westminster Barracks.
Nantoume was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on May 26 at 8:30 a.m.
