MALTA, NY — A Gansevoort man was arrested on a felony drug charge following a traffic stop on Interstate 87 Tuesday evening.
Ben H. Evans, 25, of Gansevoort, was stopped at 5:41 p.m. for failing to signal a lane change, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
An investigation during the stop led to Evans’ arrest on charges of criminal possession of cannabis in the second degree, a class E felony, and failure to signal a lane change, an infraction.
Evans is accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing more than 5 pounds of cannabis.
He was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Malta Town Court.
