TANNERSVILLE, PA — A 42-year-old New York man was arrested on assault and driving under the influence charges following a domestic incident at a resort.
Officers from Pocono Township Police Department were dispatched to Camelback Lodge for a possible domestic disturbance at approximately 8:19 p.m. Monday.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who had visible injuries to her face.
Officers determined that Douglas Charles Montgomery of New York had assaulted the victim and left the resort in their vehicle while intoxicated.
Officers located Montgomery in the parking lot of Barley Creek, where he was taken into custody.
Montgomery was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility.
He was charged with simple assault, driving under the influence and harassment.
