TANNERSVILLE, PA — A traffic stop on State Route 611 led to the arrest of a motorist on drug and driving under the influence charges.
Daniel S. Fenn, 54, of Derry, Pennsylvania, was arrested Tuesday at approximately 11:22 p.m. after a Pocono Township police officer observed a gray GMC Sierra driving erratically on the roadway near Cherry Lane Road.
The officer ran the vehicle’s registration and discovered the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license, according to police.
During the traffic stop, the officer determined Fenn was under the influence of a controlled substance, police said.
A search incident to arrest revealed methamphetamine on Fenn’s person, according to authorities.
Fenn was transported to the Monroe County DUI Center for fingerprinting and processing.
He was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license.
Additional DUI charges are pending blood test results, police said.
