OAKHAM, MA — Unidentified suspects entered driveways in Oakham and Hardwick between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. to check vehicles for unlocked doors, according to the Oakham Police Department.
The suspects removed items from unsecured vehicles before fleeing.
In one instance, a pickup truck was stolen after a hide-a-key was found under the front seat.
Following an investigation, the stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to its owner.
Police are asking residents to secure their vehicles in driveways, keep exterior lights on and ensure exterior cameras are functioning.
Anyone with information about suspicious activity should call 911.
