Four men arrested on felony weapon charges in Dickinson

DICKINSON, NY — Four Binghamton men arrested earlier this month on felony weapon charges have been remanded to the Broome County Correctional Facility following an indictment.

Samear N. Wallace, 19, Johnathan Ayala, 25, Isaiah N. Johnson, 21, and Jahliek A. Walker-Coates, 21, were charged with a total of 11 felony weapons charges and five misdemeanor weapons charges following an investigation into gunshots fired on Feb. 4.

Members of the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Strategic Response Group and Road Patrol, Broome County Security Division and Port Dickinson Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the Wittman Lane Watershed shortly after 8:15 p.m. on Feb. 4.

The four men were found to be in possession of four loaded ghost guns, one stolen and loaded handgun and six high-capacity ammunition feeding devices, including a 50-round drum magazine.

They were arraigned at Central Arraignment Part and remanded to the Broome County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 bail set by the Town of Dickinson Court.

All four men posted bail shortly after arraignment and were released.

On Feb. 12, the Broome County District Attorney’s Office proceeded with an indictment before a Broome County Grand Jury.

On Feb. 17, the Broome County Court remanded all four back to the Broome County Correctional Facility ahead of their trial.
