PITTSFIELD, MA — A Hancock man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian.
William Gross, 65, of Hancock, was taken into custody Monday without incident following an extensive investigation by the Pittsfield Police Department.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Francis Avenue and Linden Street on the night of Feb. 10.
The victim was identified as William Colbert, 69, of Pittsfield.
Police located the vehicle involved in the crash on Monday.
Gross will be arraigned at a future time in Central Berkshire District Court on charges of motor vehicle homicide and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in personal injury or death.
